Niagara Falls State Park Parking: Buses and RVs
Buses, recreational vehicles or vehicles with trailers must utilize Parking Lot 3, located on the east end of Goat Island, which does not have an automated parking system.
NOTE: While there are four parking lots in the State Park, they tend to fill up early on weekends (including Friday) and holidays which results in heavy traffic entering the park from the Niagara Scenic Parkway. In order to avoid that, you might consider using alternate means into the city from points north, south and east of the park. Rt. 62/Niagara Falls Blvd. either from the I-290 or the I-190 is a perfect way to enter the downtown core while avoiding traffic backups. This will take you on city streets and add a few minutes to your trip but could save a great deal of time stuck in traffic. Once in the downtown core, you may park in a number of city lots that are just moments from the park. Additionally, you may consider using an alternate GPS address of 10 Rainbow Blvd., Niagara Falls, NY 14303.

LAW ENFORCEMENT PROBING CITY'S SHADY DEALINGS WITH PARKING LOT DEVELOPER
ANALYSIS By Mike HudsonFederal law enforcement officials are looking into the business relationships of City Engineer Ashok Kapoor, Buffalo developer William Huntress and Kapoor's 25-year-old son, Rohit Kapoor, the Reporter has learned.
They want to know whether there's any connection between Kapoor's failure to require permits for the construction of the Huntress-owned Seneca Niagara Casino employee parking lot on Buffalo Avenue and the sweetheart lease deal given his son by Huntress to take over the Tralf, a popular Buffalo nightspot.
In addition to the feds, the state Department of Environmental Conservation has launched its own investigation into possibly hazardous waste present at the parking lot site, and Tralf owner Bobby Militello has initiated a lawsuit against both Huntress and the younger Kapoor.
In testimony given before state Supreme Court Justice Joseph Makowski on Oct. 10, it was revealed that Huntress is paying the younger Kapoor's attorney's fees in the Militello case. All mailings related to the lawsuit are sent to Ashok Kapoor's address in Amherst.
'This kid's supposed to have enough money to finance this nightclub venture and he doesn't even have enough money to pay for his own lawyer?' said one source close to the case. 'It just doesn't make any sense.'
Since taking over the Tralf in 1997, Militello has turned it into one of Buffalo's premier concert venues, attracting jazz, blues and rock acts from all over the world. Rohit Kapoor has no experience running a nightclub, but does head a struggling theater troupe, Second Stage Entertainment.
In August, the troupe staged a production of 'The Odd Couple' at the Tralf, a performance attended by Niagara Falls Mayor Irene Elia.
Niagara Falls Casino Parking Lots
The history of the Buffalo Avenue parking lot has been a textbook study in how not to run city government. Formerly the site of the abandoned Acheson Graphite factory -- which was dynamited over the course of several evenings in September and October of 2000, without the benefit of any permits -- the lot was built following a ruling earlier this year by City Court Judge Angelo Morinello that all necessary permits be obtained by July.
The permits have yet to be issued.
State environmental officials were aghast when they learned of the demolition and construction, because of the high probability that toxic waste was present at the site. Normally, the DEC is informed of brownfield projects through the issuance of permits.
Recent testing at the site has revealed dangerously high levels of lead, and the investigation is ongoing.

The Senecas pay Huntress and co-developer Jerry Williams around $36,000 a month to lease the lot and an adjacent office building, sources said.
Both Ashok Kapoor and his son have denied that any quid pro quo exists between the parking lot situation and the sweetheart deal at the Tralf. But many are skeptical.

City Council members Vince Anello and Paul Dyster have both called for a criminal investigation into the matter, and Seneca Niagara Casino officials have expressed concern about what effect the presence of toxic waste in their parking lot might have on their employees.
People living in the residential neighborhoods surrounding the site have been complaining since the building was dynamited.
Why has City Engineer Ashok Kapoor allowed the demolition of the Acheson Graphite plant and the construction of a large parking lot without the court-ordered permits? Why did William Huntress suddenly break off talks with Bobby Militello on a new lease for the Tralf and hand the business over to Kapoor's son? And why has Mayor Irene Elia allowed these shenanigans to take place under her watch?
Vince Anello, Paul Dyster and the citizens of Niagara Falls want to know.
And now, so do the feds.
